Tee’s Golf Learning Center in Conshohocken is a well-known facility that serves as both a public driving range and a golf academy. The center has been a central hub for local golfers of all skill levels, offering a wide array of amenities, including grass tees, mats, a practice green, and a short game practice area. To enhance the overall functionality, playability, and aesthetics of the facility, Tee’s Golf Learning Center partnered with Shearon Environmental Design to upgrade its landscaping features.
The project’s scope included the redesign and construction of the practice putting green, short game practice area, and grass tee. To complete the project Shearon constructed target greens with bunkers and a target fairway within the driving range, making the facility more attractive for golfers who are serious about their practice routines.

Design and Construction Solutions
1. Practice Green and Short Game Area:
Shearon built both greens to United States Golf Association (USGA) specifications, ensuring high-quality playability and durability.
2. Grass Tee Construction:
For the grass tee, Shearon Environmental Design selected a cold-tolerant variety of Bermudagrass. This decision was key to addressing the climate challenges of the region.
3. Drainage and Irrigation Improvements:
One of the primary aspects of the project was upgrading the drainage and irrigation systems across the newly constructed greens and grass tee. We installed state-of-the-art drainage solutions that would prevent waterlogging and promote the healthy growth of the turf.
