After purchasing a vacant mansion in Bryn Mawr, a new homeowner contacted Shearon to provide landscape plans for the renovation of the gardens on the property.  The owners were looking for the restoration of the formal gardens with year-round interests along with improved screening for privacy from neighboring properties.

Shearon’s design included supplementing buffer plantings and replacement of existing substandard plant material, restoration of formal gardens with improved plant selections, installation of a formal English inspired perennial garden and the addition of whimsical play areas sprinkled throughout the garden.  While these improvements were being implemented the project evolved to also include the replacement of foundation plantings, new hardscape areas, and a buffer of Birch trees along the side of the property.  An arboricultural management plan was also completed for the specimen trees on the property along with a complete lawn renovation alleviating compacted soils following an extensive home renovation.
